Join experienced herbalist William Broen for a 2-3 hour walk, sharing his knowledge about edible and medicinal wild plants.William talks about traditional and modern uses of local plants, along with such things as Folklore and Intuitive Connections with nature. The walks are easy, interactive, informative and fun!

The herb walk will take place in Eaton Canyon Natural Area just north of Altadena.

Directions: From 210 FWY in Pasadena, exit Altadena drive North for about 2 miles. Eaton Canyon Natural Area is on the right side of the street, just past New York Dr. Meet in front of the Nature Center.
 
Presenting throughout California, Broen shares his knowledge and enthusiasm with emphases on how humans have interacted with plants throughout history, how our senses often tell us much about the plants around us, and how a plant’s survival adaptations are often related to the ways they affect our bodies. Broen relays his knowledge in a format that is enjoyable, easy to understand and encourages questioning and discussion among participants.
